MITTAN | T-46 High-Twist Silk Tsumugi Yarn Tank Top / Natural / Made in Japan
This tank top is made from MITTAN’s original cut-and-sewn fabric using silk tsumugi yarn, spun from parts of the cocoon that cannot be used for regular silk reeling. By applying a high twist to the yarn, the fabric gains moderate resilience and improved durability while retaining the soft comfort of silk.
Silk has excellent moisture absorption, moisture release, and heat-retention properties. It is a protein fiber composed of amino acids close to those found in human skin, making it comfortable to wear directly against the body. The armholes are set slightly higher and the shoulder width is made wider, allowing the piece to be worn both as underwear and as a standalone tank top.
